Oliver Farrugia, pictured above, scored two goals as our boys beat Sannat for the third time in the league this season. Unfortunately it was a result that sealed the relegation of Sannat, but we wish them all the best for an improved season next year.

The first goal came early in the game when a corner, taken by Eman Bugeja, was left by everyone and it ended up in the back of the net. The lead did not last long however as Sannat responded by scoring from a free kick on the edge of our box.

Before half time we regained the lead after Oliver made a strong run, fighting off two tackles before beating the keeper at close range.

Early in the second half, Oliver scored again. Lauren Dimech made a good run into the Sannat half and played the ball into Oliver who placed it nicely into the top corner.

The result means that we again move into third place, and it also means that mathematically we can no longer finish in the bottom places. We have one game remaining against Hotspurs and it will be played on Sunday April 7th at Gozo Stadium. Kick-off is at 1pm and we hope to see some of you there.
