The latest round of the league saw us playing the leaders Nadur, who until this game had conceded only one draw. A win for us would make the gap at the top only a single point. A defeat would leave us adrift from Nadur and Xewkija.

Within 5 minutes, the blues were ahead. The Nadur defense was opened up and Ejofor Nkwocha beat the offside trap and calmly slotted passed the onrushing keeper to keep his excellent scoring run going.

The first half continued in a balanced way with both sides having periods of pressure in a game which both teams wanted to win. With half time approaching, a hopeful ball into the SK box was misjudged by the defense and Aliou Traore took advantage to level the scores.

In the second half, the Nadur hero became the villain as he was given a second booking and sent off. It is sometimes difficult to break down a team when they are reduced to 10 men, but our boys did an excellent job and dominated the game from this point onwards. Once again it was Ejofor Nkwocha who gave us the lead with another good finish. Joseph Vella added a third in stoppage time to ensure that the league will continue to be a close competition this year.
