A win was needed and a win was delivered in the crucial league encounter with Nadur. The Blues showed signs of nerves in the first 20 minutes, but once they settled, they had the better chances and always looked likely to score.

Nadur defended well however and it took a little over an hour for the first goal to arrive. A cross from the right from Peter Anizoba found Daniel Bogdanovic in the area. His clinical first touch and finish made it 1-0, but Nadur hit straight back.

Within a minute of us taking the lead, Nadur won a free kick in a dangerous area which was only parried by the goalkeeper. Nadur were quickest to the loose ball and we were level again.

The boys once more demonstrated great mental strength as they continued to play good football and on 68 minutes found the winning goal. Eric Chidi broke free and calmly slotted past the keeper for 2-1. This time Nadur were unable to respond and we secured the three points which takes the title race to another weekend.
