Oratory Youths have had a good start to the season and sit in 3rd place. Our own boys have had a little slump of late with defeats in the league and in the cup. This game brought an end to the bad sequence for us with a clean sheet and a hard fought draw.

The first half was a balanced affair with few chances for either side. There was a stoppage in play due to an injury to our new goalkeeper, Branko, who was making his debut in the place of the injured Joel Xiberras. Despite a dislocated finger, he bravely played on and helped the team stay solid throughout, including a fine save when he tipped a shot from Tiago onto the post.

The second half was much of the same as defenses played well and chances were limited. This perhaps frustrated some of the players and a red card was given to each side, first Nicholas Vella for disent, and then a second yellow for an Oratory player after a careless tackle.

A draw was a fair result in a game that was not exciting for the neutral, but hard fought and positive for our team after recent results. Next up is Nadur who now top the table after defeating Xewkija. We will need your support as always.
