Nadur have only conceded a single draw in the first round and have looked very strong. But they needed a slice of luck and a dubious decision from the officials to take the 3 points in the final game game of the round.

The game was well balanced in the first half with both sides playing some tidy football on a pitch which was suffering after the heavy rain. The half time score of 0-0 reflected a well contested first period.

Seven minutes after the restart, Nadur were allowed too much space on our left and the resultant shot was parried by the goalkeeper. Milos converted the rebound but it seemed certain that he was in an offside position. The linesman however did not react and the goal was given.

Our boys reacted well and had chances to level. Nadur defended and never looked like scoring again. They picked up 2 yellow cards for wasting time as they held on to their lead. It was disappointing since a draw was certainly a fairer result, but sometimes the decisions do not go your way.

There is a break now for GFA Cup ties and then the second round will begin in late November as we face Hotspurs for the second time.
